Rolex Oyster Perpetual
This "Bubble Back" wristwatch is distinguished by its black lacquer
dial, which displays gold graphics. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s,
Rolex designed an array of dial configurations for their "Bubble Back"
line of production. The possibilities were endless, with each model
featuring a different hand, numeral or case design.
The present
example is distinguished by its wonderful and sharp case. The watch
retains incredibly crisp case numbers on the case back, and even retains
the "C" engraving, denoting it was made for export to South America.
Accompanying the watch is a charming Rolex rice grain C&I bracelet.
