The Day-Date made its grand entrance to the Rolex catalogue in 1956,
recognised widely as the spirit for leadership, the model was famously
known to be the choice of watch for US presidents such as Lyndon B
Johnson, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and Bill Clinton, hence the
moniker “President watch”.
Modest in size and tailored towards
the modern palette for larger wristwatches, Rolex debuted the present
model Day-Date II debuted in 2008 with its majestic diameter at 41mm,
which was discontinued in 2015 and was replaced by the ref. 228235 with a
40mm diameter case. The collection was made in four different precious
metals, yellow gold, white gold, Everose gold and platinum. Boosting
with elegance, the present example is cased in Everose gold and matching
Everose dial with beautiful diamond-set markers, the design is truly
seamless and opulent. Offered in excellent condition and its
accessories, the present discontinued example is certainly a superb
addition and a perfect match for exceptional men and women.
