Reference 6269 can be considered the rarest of all Cosmograph references. The present lot bears two reference numbers: 6269 between the lugs which refers to the specific characteristics of this watch and 6263 in the case back. References 6269 and 6263 are identical with the exception of the bezel. The case bodies and backs were interchangeable at the factory. This watch part of the Mondani Collection is not illustrated in the Mondani Rolex book but is identical to the watch shown on pages 458 459.
