Offered here is a stunning and attractive example of a very early Rolex Explorer, Ref. 6610, circa 1958, the pre-cursor to the Reference 1016, only produced for a few years. This example is in excellent condition. The case has been lightly polished in the past, with thick and even lugs. The dial is in great condition, with no major flaws or wear. The original radium lume is present in the dial, aged to a golden yellow, and the hands have been professionally color matched to the dial. The watch comes equipped on a Rolex USA jubilee band (please note, one endlink is marked “55”, while the other is “455”).
