This lot features a Patek Philippe promotional display case that has never before been offered on the market and has remained unknown to many collectors until now. Designed as an educational tool for Patek retailers and customers of the time it featured an elegantly mounted fully functional movement (Cal. 27-AM 400) encased in a stainless steel frame (stamped as Reference 55). In fully running condition and accompanied by its Patek Philippe signed loupe and original hang-tag this is a rare opportunity to acquire the ultimate desk accessory for the true Patek enthusiast. Produced in the mid-sixties for a short period of time probably less than a hundred units total were produced.
