The reference 3919 is most notable for its “Clous de Paris” hobnail
pattern bezel that frames elegantly around the time-only dial. Featuring
an Atelier Réunis case, the model were available in yellow gold, pink
gold and white gold. Released in 1985 and discontinued in 2006, the
production of this reference was split into three series. Part of the
second series bearing a 1.8m serial, the present timepiece not only has a
lean profile and robust caliber, it also bears a desirable trait
beloved by collectors. A delicately painted black signature of the
coveted jeweler, Tiffany & Co. sits finely under the maison’s
signature on the pristine off-white porcelain dial. According to our
research, it is estimated that no more than 25 examples of the reference
in yellow gold retailed by Tiffany & Co. has resurfaced in the
market. The present Calatrava ref. 3919 offered in an attractive
appearance with its enhanced rarity of the Tiffany & Co’ signature
speaks highly with sophistication, and a great timepiece to go along
with a black-tie outfit.
