Released in 2015, the Panerai Luminor PAM 629 is one that generated a buzz at Watches and Wonders. Featuring an all-black DLC-coated titanium 47mm diameter Luminor style case, it was the firm’s first to feature the newly incorporated case materials as previous DLC-coated models were in stainless steel. Furthermore, it is also the first time that a “California” dial was featured in a Luminor case as it was previously only seen in Radiomir cases inspired from the vintage reference 3646.
