Rare Vintage Omega Seamaster PloProf 600 Professional Diver's watch circa early 1970's Reference 166.077 Serial #301xxxx Developed in conjunction with Comex and the legendary Jacques Cousteau, Omega conceived and developed what was probably the first waterproof watch designed and built solely for the diving professional. Rated to 600 meters. Automatic Swiss movement Omega Cal. 1001 Chronometer, adjusted in 5 positions, with 20 jewels. The cal. 1002, which came afterward is not a Chronometer. Housed in a 45mm x 54mm stainless steel Monobloc case Special locking crown system located at 9 o'clock Bi-directional locking stainless steel rotating bezel, controlled by the red button at the right Acrylic bezel insert with Tritium treated markers Blue dial with tritium treated indeces and enlarged orange minute hand Original Bracelet, but it appears that the clasp hinge may have been replaced, and is also a vintage JB Champion 1/40 10 kt RGP trim Bracelet lugs are marked "162". This timepiece has not been polished or refinished, at least not by us, but can be at the discretion of the new owner. One Owner watch, well traveled! A timepiece rich in history! This watch was recently serviced by Omega, and comes with a Watchworks Limited One Year Warranty.
