In 2001 Glashutte Original presented PanoRetroGraph the first mechanical watch with a 30-minute countdown function and triple-repetition chime. When it was launched its original invention not only shocked the entire watch market but also been awarded the title "Watch of the Year ." The watch is limited to 50 pieces in Platinum and 150 pieces in white gold. The watch offers a chronograph function. The chronograph indicator is located on a half moon shaped window on the right side of the dial. The watch offers a countdown function as well and a chiming mechanism to announce the end of the event that was counted down. To use the countdown function you can set the desired count down time by pulling out the crown to section 2. When you set the count down time and push in the crown back you can start the countdown by press the push button at 10 oclock. The watch chimes at the end of the countdown to alert the user.
