Established in 1884, Bulgari was initially known for its silverware and decorative objects. The first snake jewels can be found in the Archives of Bulgari dated back in the 1940s. As styles have changed over the years, Bulgari designs have evolved. The Bulgari snake, became instantly famous when Elizabeth Taylor wore on the set of Cleopatra in Rome in 1962.
