First released in 2002 the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept line was initially introduced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak. First designed by Claude Emmenegger the Concept certainly embraces an avant-garde appeal while retaining its iconic traits such as the octagonal-shaped bezel with naked screws. Regarded as somewhat of the platform for the firm and manufacturer to develop and innovate new concepts to be integrated into the main lines of the Royal Oak the very first Concept piece featured a movement developed by Renaud & Papi.
